Drum Mania V features more than 270 songs, including 50 brand new and 30 reproduction. Players have the option of linking together with Guitar Freaks V for a mega jam session.
The player can play the songs in either Basic, Advanced or Expert mode. The different modes increase the level of difficulty for the player.
The player is instructed by the machine which pad to hit with the drumstick and when. Depending on the song and difficulty, players are required to perform drum rolls, as well as fast
complicated patterns.
This version still allows, players of all skill levels to have a go. With songs specifically designed to be played by beginner with low BPM and easier patterns.
This version is the first version none numbered version e.g. 9th mix, 10th mix, etc. This is a push by konami throughout their music simulation line.
